Based in New Zealand’s South Island, Mataura Valley Milk combines premium ingredients, world-leading technology, and deep nutritional expertise to produce high-quality dairy products. Our brief was to bring this purpose to life through strategic branding, strong storytelling, and visual identity that resonates across international markets.

We created the Mataura Trust Mark, a symbol of authenticity and quality, anchoring the brand’s promise in every product. Our work spanned global marketing collateral, bulk milk powder packaging design, stakeholder-focused website development, and high-impact brand videography — all crafted to reinforce trust and tell a consistent story across every touchpoint.

This positioning captures Mataura Valley Milk’s forward-thinking commitment to global nourishment—balancing innovation, sustainability, and premium dairy production to meet the evolving needs of a growing international population. It became the foundation for all messaging, guiding both internal alignment and external communications.

To support global recognition and ease of navigation in foreign-language markets, we developed a smart numbering system and distinctive colour-coded packaging architecture for Mataura Valley Milk’s product range. This system allows key product variants to be easily identified at a glance—regardless of language proficiency.

Each product was assigned a unique number, prominently featured on the pack, creating a clear and intuitive way for distributors, retailers, and end-users to differentiate between SKUs. Complementary colour palettes were applied to each variant, designed not only for visual shelf appeal but also for practical identification in export markets.

This approach enhances clarity, consistency, and brand recall across international markets, ensuring Mataura Valley Milk products are easily recognisable, user-friendly, and accessible to customers worldwide—from China to Southeast Asia and beyond.
