B&A is one of New Zealand's most established urban and environmental planning consultancies. Operating from a network of offices across the country, they deliver planning solutions to some of the largest property developers, councils, government organisations and development bodies in New Zealand. National reach, local knowledge, decades of trust behind the name.

The problem was the front door. A firm that wins work on reputation was represented online by a site that didn't reflect it: hard to navigate, inconsistent across devices, and doing nothing to signal the calibre of
the people behind it.

What we did

We designed and built a website from the ground up: structure, navigation, UX and visual language, all rethought so the site worked as hard as the consultants it represents. Simple to use. Seamless across
every platform. Built so B&A's own team could own and update it, not one that required an agency to keep
it current.

Why it worked

For a professional services firm, a website has two audiences doing two different jobs. A prospective client is checking credentials, deciding whether this firm can be trusted with a major consent or a national portfolio. A prospective planner or consultant is checking the same site to decide whether this looks like a firm worth joining. Get either wrong and you lose that person before a conversation starts. Get it right and the site is working quietly in the background on both fronts: proving expertise to the market, and making the firm look like where the best people already choose to work.
