Aotea New Zealand came to us to consolidate a number of house brands. We worked with strategist Fiona Stevens to develop Avoca. This involved building a compelling brand story and then transferring this visually into a brand that would represent NZ, our dramatic landscapes and environments.
The main client interaction with the Avoca brand is through Aotea’s specialist souvenir stores located throughout NZ. Our aim was to reflect NZ, as it would be seen, sometimes raw and unadulterated and provide a visual memento of their trip.
We developed the Avoca brand and then designed packaging for food, skincare, health vitamins, manuka honey as well as a significant amount of clothing and accessories. The Avoca brand was then supported through in-store point of sale, window visuals, in-store banners and brochures. We also designed an e-commerce magento website.
